All Categories

In order to send a Bulk SMS message there are three things you have to do:
1) Determine the sender's ID
2) Write the text which will be included in the message
3) Add the list of the phone numbers you want to receive your message
It is the text that will be shown to the recipients of the SMS message. The sender's ID consists of either up to 11 latin characters or up to 13 numeric characters
The text can be up to 612 characters long, either greek or latin. Double charge is applied for a text from 161 to 306 characters, triple from 307 to 459 and quadruple from 460 to 612. The special characters: € , [ , ], { , } , ~ , ^ , | and \ request more space and are received as 2 characters
There are 3 possible ways to add recipients:
1) Type them one by one (this can be done for up to 10 phone numbers)
2) Upload a file which contains the phone numbers (it supports file formats .xls, .xlsx, .txt, .csv)
3) Choose one or more of the existing groups or part of the groups that you have created.
Yes it is. Go to the outgoing message page and there you can find the option to schedule the sending of a message. There you have to fill the fields of the date and the time that you want the sending to take place. After scheduling the sending, if you wish you can edit or cancel it from the option "Scheduled SMS" of the service's menu.
Yes, you can send SMS messages that consist of lowercase greek characters. The disadvantage in this case is that the size of the message drops from 160 to 70 characters. If you, inspite of this fact, wish to do so, you have to choose the Unicode option from the sending page and to go on and write the text in lowcase characters.
You have to choose the Unicode option and then type the text in the alphabet you want. Because of the option you make to choose the Unicode, the amount of the characters reduces from 160 to 70 characters per message
: The longer posible text can be up to 612 characters, either greek or latin. Double charge is applied for a text from 161 to 306 characters, triple from 307 to 459 and quadruple from 460 to 612.
No, the special characters: € , [ , ], { , } , ~ , ^ , | and \ request more space and are received as 2 characters. In any case, the character counter on the page gives you at any point the remaining amount of the charaters.
If you wish to send SMS messages to the Greek region they should have the prefix 69... or 3069... or +3069... . If you want to send an SMS message to a different country, the phone numbers should have the appropriate prefix.
At the end of the sending procedure, you can check the progress of it through the Delivery Reports page. In that page you can also see detailed information about each one of the phone numbers that you sent to.
There are 3 possible cases:
1) Delivered
2) Sent
3) Failed
It means that the SMS message has been sent to the recipient through his/her mobile network but a delivery report was not send back. It is possible that the client has turned off his/her mobile phone or it is out of network coverage. When the client turn on the phone or gets back in the network coverage, he/she will receive the message. It is also possible that the message has been received at the fist place but the delivery report has not been send back to us.
It means that the message was not delivered to the client's phone. Ιt is possible that the mobile number is invalid and so the 'Failed' status appears immediately. Ιt is also possible that the mobile number is valid but the phone turned off. In the case that the mobile phone is turned off for more than 2 days, the SMS message will never reach its destination and its status will turn from 'Sent' to 'Failed'.
This would mean that there are many phone numbers in your lists that are invalid. In these cases, the SMS messages are sent to their users both from our service and their network provider, but they are never delivered. What you should do is to remove these phone numbers from your lists or groups, so that you will not get charged in the future.
You should have already purchased SMS credits before every Bulk SMS messaging you do. If the amount of available SMS credits in your account is less than the ones you need, then the SMS message will be delivered only to the amount of the phone numbers that your account can cover
There is no such time limit. Practically this means that you can get the best out of tiered priced SMS messages we offer and purchase more SMS credits.
You can make your purchases in one of the following ways:
1) Deposit the payment in one of our bank accounts
2) Pay by credit card
3) Pay through a Paypal account

5) Using the 'Move to iOS' app (for migrating to an Android device):
If you're transferring contacts because you're switching to an Android phone, the 'Move to iOS' app on the Google Play Store can assist in migrating your contacts, messages, and other data from iPhone to Android during the initial setup of the Android device.

6) Via Airdrop: If you want to share contacts with another Apple device nearby, you can use Airdrop.

It's always a good idea to keep backups of your contacts across different services or devices for safety.
Choose a method that best suits your needs. If you're exporting contacts for backup purposes, it's a good idea to save them in more than one location or method.
With HLR (Home Location Register) we have the ability to check if a phone number is valid or not, if it is blocked and which mobile network it belongs to.
This service is useful when you want to send SMS messages to a list of phone numbers and you do not know if there are many of them which are invalid. Using this service you can easily remove from your lists all the invalid phone numbers and you will not send messages that will not be delivered, anymore.
It does. The charge of using the service is much less than the cost of an SMS message. In particular, for every phone number that is checked the charge is 0,01 € and it is taken off your account as a part of your available SMS messages (i.e. 0,2 SMS).
If you are not interested in using our website in order to send Bulk SMS messages, but you want to embed the service in your website or application, then you can use HTTP API. To do so, some basic knowledge on web development and programming is required
The 2-way SMS service is a new service that SMSbox.gr is providing. It allows you to receive SMS messages from mobile phones or from websites (web SMS) and automatically check them from your personal computer. These SMS messages are being sent to a usuall phone number (10-digit phone number) i.e.6949923118 and the senders are being charged as if they have sent a normal SMS message. The recipients should have an account in SMSbox.gr and should have visited the 2-way SMS page. As soon as a new message is received, it will appear on their screen. The user can then see the name of the sender and the text of the message. The recipients can either reply to the SMS or delete it.
The 2-way SMS service can be used by the ones that want to have a two-way communication with their clients. In short, they can send a web SMS from the SMSbox.gr and put as the sender's ID a phone number. The recipients can then reply to that phone number from their mobile phones. This service can also be used from the radio stations, so that the listeners can send them messages and be charged as a single SMS message.
The personalized SMS messages give you the opportunity to avoid the impersonal contact with your clients with identical SMS messages. You are able to send as many SMS messages as you wish and at the same time include each individual recipient's name and surname . This way the recipients will not feel like they get one bulk SMS, but they will have the feeling that the message was written just for them.
In case you know the name and surname of the person who receives the SMS message or if they are clients of services like an insurance or accountancy office, then the personalized messages can prove to be very useful.
The cost of the personalized SMS messages is the same as the simple ones, but you have to keep in mind the amount of characters that the message will have after adding the name/surname of the person you are sending it to. If the SMS becomes longer than 165 characters then it will be charged as 2 (long SMS).
The procedure to send personalized SMS messages is the same as usuall, all you have to do is to add the characters %fn% at the place where you want the first name to be shown, %ln% where you want the surname to be shown and %fd% where you want the information of the other field to be shown. In order for the replacement of the name/surname/other field to take place in a message, there should be a contact saved in your groups with the same phone number as that of the recipient. If you send a Bulk SMS message to a group of contacts then it is curtain that there will be a contact with that phone number. For example, if there is a contact in a group with the following details: 6912345678 Nikos Papageorgiou associate and you send an SMS to the phone number 6912345678 the text: "Dear Mr. %ln%, we wish you happy birthday...", then the recipient will receive the following message: "Dear Mr. Papageorgiou, we wish you happy birthday...".
